Appearing on the Christian Broadcasting Network with CBN founder Pat Robertson on Wednesday, President Donald Trump said that both Vladimir Putin and Hillary Clinton would have fared much better under a Hillary Clinton administration than they will under his, despite all of the news reports from the Democrat Media Complex that Putin was pushing for a Trump win.
“We are the most powerful country in the world,” President Trump told Robertson on The 700 Club. “And we are getting more and more powerful because I’m a big military person,” he noted.
The President then explained both in terms of military and energy, Putin must have preferred Hillary Clinton over him because she would have “decimated” the military and would have focused the nation’s energy policies towards “windmills” and other costly forms of alternative energy, which would have driven up prices of oil sold by Russia, which Putin greatly profits from.
“As an example, if Hillary had won, our military would be decimated, our energy would be much more expensive. That’s what Putin doesn’t like about me and that’s why I say, ‘Why would he want me because from day one I wanted a strong military?’ He doesn’t want to see that. And from day one, I want fracking and everything else to get energy prices low and to create tremendous energy.”
Trump explained that America is getting closer to energy independence and is going to be a net exporter of energy soon because of his policies.
“He doesn’t want that. He would like Hillary where she wants to have windmills,” he said.
Russia is a major player in oil and natural gas production but unlike the United States, it’s economy is much more dependent on energy and produced very little of anything else to the world after being a communist country for several decades. Some years oil and gas revenues are nearly half of Russia’s entire national budget.
