NYC Terrorist Came to US Under ‘Diversity Visa Program’ Sponsored by NY Democrat Chuck Schumer

Sayfullo Saipov, Chuck Schumer

Unlike the Las Vegas mass murder where authorities have been extremely tight-lipped about details and motives, we are very quickly getting details in about Sayfullo Habibullaevic Saipov, the radical Islamic terrorist who shouted “Allahu Akbar” as he used a truck to mow down random people in the Manhattan area of New York City on Tuesday, killing at least eight and injuring several more.

Sayfullo Saipov, 29, was an Uzbekistan National who came to the United States under the Diversity Visa Program (DV Program), which makes up to 50,000 immigrant visas available annually, drawn from random selection among all entries to individuals who are from countries with low rates of immigration to the United States.

Saipov came to the United States in 2010, just seven years ago under the ill-conceived progressive program.

The scheme was designed by then-Rep. Chuck Schumer — now the Democrat Senator from New York in 1989 that was part of the Immigration Act of 1990, and it became permanent law in 1990.

As Numbers USA reported, there is “no cost” to apply for the lottery, other than a $330 application fee, and applicants can enter as many times as they wish, but can only submit one application per year.

“This was an act of terror,” declared Mayor de Blasio at a somber One Police Plaza news conference. “And a particularly cowardly act of terror, aimed at innocent civilians.”

Schumer, for his part, thanked the NYPD for responding so quickly to what he called a “tragic situation.”

Very tragic indeed. Chuck Schumer should be forced to account for his legislation that led to at least eight of his fellow New Yorkers being brutally mowed down by an Islamic terrorist in New York on Tuesday.

But since he’s a Democrat, it’s highly unlikely that he’ll be hounded by the media like he would if he were a Republican. He should also be asked if the false pagan progressive god of “diversity” is worth getting people killed over.
