In the poll, 1,659 college students were asked if they “agree with colleges campuses establishing safe spaces.” The percentage will astound you. The poll has a margin of error of +/-2.
Of those polled, 36-percent believe that safe spaces on college campuses are absolutely necessary. In comparison, 37-percent think they are “completely out of touch with reality.” Now, I know what you’re thinking. Well, at least one-percent more are against safe spaces than are for them. Yeah, that difference is not great enough especially when you factor in the percentage who said they were indifferent.
A whopping 25-percent of students polled are indifferent towards them. In other words, they don’t really have a problem with the existence of “safe spaces” used to shield people from a reality they don’t like and as an excuse for discrimination against opposing, i.e. conservative, views because that is one of the ways “safe spaces” are used as attack mechanisms.
This brings to mind a meme. Granted, this one references the demand for ‘safe spaces’ in 2015. Fast forward to 2017…it’s only gotten worse.
