Why Do Hollywood Elitists Continue to Prop Up Murderous Communism?

Hollywood commies Sean Penn, Oliver Stone, Antonio Banderos

The very same Hollywood elitists who correctly rail against the evils fascism continually give a wink and a nod to Communism, despite the over 100 million deaths that can be attributed to the depraved ideology, setting aside the abject poverty and loss of individual liberty that is a result wherever it’s implemented.

Even as people struggle to eat or even find toilet paper in countries like Venezuela, a formerly prosperous nation within our own hemisphere, there is no condemnation of Communism from either the media or the leftists in Hollywood and the question is, why?

That’s the question asked by Yaron Brook on The Yaron Brook Show Sunday:

“How many movies have you seen outlining and detailing the evils of Communism, of the slaughter of innocents that Stalin and Lenin and Mao Tse-tung engaged in that took the lives of tens of millions of people that were killed?

How many intellectuals, particularly on the Left, have condemned communism as evil and barbaric — as a murderous ideology?

We should condemn Nazism, but for every anti-communist movies, there are a thousand anti-Nazi movies. Why? Why can’t we condemn Communism? It should be easy! They only killed 100-200 million people.”

Brook then asked why any communist, like Rolling Stone contributor Jesse Myerson, are given a platform and why is it that Hollywood leftists like Sean Penn, Antonio Banderas, and producer Oliver Stone continue to provide cover for the evils of communism.

In a 1946 handwritten letter from Ronald Reagan that was just discovered last year, Reagan wrote relatedly that those who want to stop Fascism won’t stand up to fight Communism and if you ask them to, “they’ll reveal themselves” to be the commies that they are.

“Believe me I don’t want to be a ‘Red Baiter’ or go on a ‘witch hunt’ but if the liberal cause is to win in the fight against native Fascism it must first stand up and be counted as opposed to communism,” Reagan wrote. “Some of you who feel as you do might raise the issue in your organization and see what is the strength of the communists — they’ll reveal themselves.”

“It doesn’t matter how many people Communism killed — it doesn’t matter how many people die of starvation because of socialism,” Yaron Brook said. “It doesn’t matter how many babies don’t have enough food in Venezuela and they’re dying. They will still back their hero Chavez and their hero Maduro.”

It should be noted that while you’ll rarely if ever hear a Hollywood actor condemn Communism, the same goes for the entire Democrat Party. For eight years, did you ever, even once, hear Barack Obama condemn Communism? In fact, when is the last time you heard any Democrat condemn Communism.

Why is that? Why is it that whether they call themselves “liberals,” “progressives,” or “Democrats,” they will not condemn Communism and all that it stands for?
