Democrat Senator Elizabeth Warren, who has long bragged that she’s of American Indian heritage, even going so far as to check the “Native American” box on applications to University of Pennsylvania and Harvard to take advantage of racial preference policies, and wrote a cookbook called “Pow Wow Chow” and signed it “Elizabeth Warren — Cherokee,” is being challenged to put up or shut up.
Warren’s 2018 Republican challenger in the Massachusetts U.S. Senate race, V.A. Shiva Ayyadurai, who was born in Bombay, India, is running to “Defeat #FakeIndian Elizabeth Warren” (slogan on his website) and is challenging Warren to take a DNA test to put the long-running controversy about her race claims to rest.
He’s calling it the “Real Indian vs. Fake Indian Challenge.”

Elizabeth Warren has famously been referred to by President Donald Trump on numerous occasions as “Pocahontas,” a mockery to her alleged fake Indian heritage. Prior to that, the nickname “Fauxcahontas” was often used to mock Warren.
An interesting side note, V. A. Shiva Ayyadurai graduated from high school at age 14, and as been credited with inventing email, has four degrees from MIT, and is married to actress Fran Drescher.
