Democrat Al Franken Will STILL Make Appearance With Reprehensible Kathy Griffin [VIDEO]

Democrat Senator [score]Al Franken[/score], a likely 2020 presidential candidate, appeared on CNN’s New Day with Alisyn Camerota to promote his new book inappropriately and vainly titled, “Al Franken, Giant of the Senate,” and was asked to comment on fellow progressive leftist comedian Kathy Griffin’s calling for President of the United States Donald Trump to have his head decapitated ISIS style.

Franken praised Griffin as a “friend” and a “terrific comedian” while agreeing that the evil image displayed by Griffin of the bloody head of President Trump in her head as if she’d just cut it off “had no business being in our public discourse.”

Nevertheless, even though CNN decapitated their contract with Kathy Griffin to perform at their annual New Year’s Eve programming co-hosted by Anderson Cooper, Franken predicted that Griffin’s career would recover. Moreover, Franken, who formerly made his mark on society by playing Stuart Smalley on Saturday Night Live, said that he would support Griffin by not canceling a July public appearance he has scheduled with her.

“Kathy is a friend and she’s a terrific comedian, but this had no business being in our public discourse,” Franken told Camerota. “And I talked to her. She has apologized… she actually begged for forgiveness and I believe in forgiveness.”

“This is a horrible mistake,” Franken continued. “And so, I think she can [recover],” he predicted about Griffin’s future career prospects.

“And you’re still going to appear with her?” Camerota asked.

“Yes,” he replied under his breath.

Senator Franken is scheduled to appear at an event with Kathy Griffin on July 7th in Los Angeles.

Leftists stick together. If it was Obama’s head in question, both Franken’s reaction and Camerota’s for that matter, would be considerably different. Next thing you know, the Left with likely dream up some kind of phony “courage” award for Griffin’s “bravery.”
