FLASHBACK: RINO John McCain in 2016 Campaign Ad Claims to be Leading Fight to ‘Stop Obamacare’

Every six years, Arizona voters get duped into voting for a Democrat senator, a senator who votes like a Democrat but campaigns as a conservative Republican. RINO (Republican-In-Name-Only) John McCain cast the deciding vote late Thursday night to even do a “skinny” very, very partial repeal of Obamacare.

Just days ago, John McCain and six other “Republicans” joined with their Democrat brethren in shooting down a more clean repeal of Obamacare, even though in 2015, he did vote for a clean repeal.

But long, long ago, all the way back in 2016 when he was running for re-election, John McCain marketed himself as a champion of Obamacare repeal, even issuing a campaign ad where he claims to be leading the fight to stop the 2,700-page disaster, even blasting his Democrat opponent for voting for the bill he, himself just voted to keep:

“Obamacare is failing Arizonans. First, a massive rate hike more than twice the national average. Then, America’s largest health insurer abandoned Arizona’s failing Obamacare exchange. That’s devastating especially to rural counties. Congresswoman Ann Kirkpatrick bragged about her Obamacare vote, saying “it’s also the one I’m most proud about..” While Kirkpatrick’s “proud” of putting us at risk, John McCain is leading the fight to stop Obamacare.”

So what changed for John McCain? Absolutely nothing, of course, except the 2016 election is OVER and he can now continue to vote like the big government Democrat he is. Some might speculate that McCain’s disdain for President Trump had something to do with his vote and there may be an added benefit to his ego in not wanting Trump to get even a partial win.

But in actuality, John McCain has been pulling this kind of crap his entire shameful Senate career, frequently”crossing the aisle” to join with Democrats he supposedly is ideologically opposed to.

Watch John McCain’s 2016 campaign ad, then the happy reaction from Democrats (watch Chuck Schumer) as he casts his vote last night:
